Is garlic healthy? Can it fiight disease? How to eat it without stinking.




Other than keeping vampires away, garlic has been used for thousands of years and in multiple parts of the world as medicine for one ailment or another. How is it that ancient Egyptians knew that garlic was anti bacterial? How is it possible?


Why is garlic healthy?

Garlic a triple threat against infections, It has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties and it very capable at keeping us healthy. Not only is it effective at killing common bacteria and viruses, but is also effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, including MRSA, fights yeast infections, and helps control and rid our bodies of parasites.


How does it work?

There are 2 main enzymes in garlic. One is called Aliin. It exists on the outside of the garlic clove. The other is called alinase. It exists on the inside of the garlic clove. Individually, these enzymes’ only purposes are to help digest the food in which it exists. But when garlic is crushed or cut, the 2 enzymes meet and create a new enzyme called Alicin. This is where the magic happens.


The power of Alicin Alicin is the medicinal compound in garlic that has made garlic worthy of its Immune Building reputation. Alicin is what the Egyptians didn’t realize was keeping people alive and well. It was Alicin that was used in the fight against The Plague in the 1600’s by The London College of Physicians. It was Alicin that Louis Pasteur was experimenting with in the fight against disease.


How to consume Garlic?

Garlic is best when consumed raw but also has medicinal benefits to cooking with it. Add it to any dish for added flavour and nutritional punch. Make sure to use cloves in your soups and sauces. Try roasting a whole bulb and spooning out it’s delicious sweet flesh. This can spread on just about anything for a fat free, antioxidizng nutritional punch


Use it to fight a cough

An ages old remedy for coughs and colds is also quite delicious and easy to make.

1. Cut 6-8 cloves of garlic in half, place in jar

2. Fill jar with raw unpasteurozed honey

3. Close lid and let sit for 3-7 days in the fridge

4. Eat 1 clove daily and consume 2 tablespoons of the honey daily

5. Replace cloves with more cloves as you eat them

This cough syrup has the ability to reduce inflammation, sooth pain, reduce coughing, help produce productive phlegm, and build your immune system up to fight off the bacteria and viral infections from within.


Eat garlic daily

In order for garlic to work its best at keeping you healthy and vibrant throughout the year, it should also be considered as an effective preventative measure. Daily consumption will help fight off the viruses before you even know you came in contact with them. Garlic is also a prebiotic

How to control the stink

The only real negative side effect with consuming garlic is the obvious one. It can really be offensive on your breath all day. But even that can be managed and controlled using completely natural measures, because we all know that piece of gum is NOT doing the trick. Try adding the following ingredients to the end of your meals to help fight off the garlicky smell.

· Fresh parsley

· Fresh Peppermint or peppermint oil

· Lemon Juice

· Green tea

· Cinnamon

Some people have even had success running a stainless steel spoon inside all around the mouth. This method seems to work better with some people than others.
